In 1992, I went to the Doctor because I thought I had Bronchitis, but to my surprise the Doctor told me he wanted me to see a Cardiologist. I started to feel better but went to the Cardiologist anyway. He gave me a stress test, but two minutes into the test, the Doctor stopped the test. I said, "Hey Doc what's up? What's wrong?" He said, "Son, it looks like you have Cardiomyopathy." I said, "What does that mean?" He said, "It's hardening of the arteries, and I think you're headed for THE BIG ONE. You need to have more tests." I was admitted to the Hospital for 13 days. The tests showed a blood clot in the wall of my heart and I had a trial fribrilation. I was taken off work, but with much prayer I was able to return to work after 6 months. God let me work until November 2006, but I was in and out of several hospitals many times throughout the years. The Doctors said there was no way I could work all those years, but I told them God allows me to work. From October of 2006 to October of 2008, I, along with hundreds of other people (adults, teens, & children), prayed that God would heal my heart. In April of 2007 I was put on the heart transplant list. No call came. I was getting weaker and weaker and had lost stamina and my color was fading. On October 23, 2008 I went to the hospital after having 10 horrible attacks in 21 days. I had several tests run and the Doctor said he wanted me to stay in the hospital until a new heart was found for me. The next day, the Doctor said the same thing. Without consulting my wife, I said yes to the Doctor and began my living arrangements at the hospital. I started telling the Doctors and Nurses that God will do His work in me. From October 23rd to November 6th I would read the Bible and a book about the touch of God's hand. The Nurses would read and I would tell them about how God uses the book to touch others like me. At 4 a.m. On November 6, 2008, the Nurses came in and told me not to drink or eat anything because they thought there was a heart for me. By that evening, with my family by my side, off I went to the operating room. I had NO FEAR. God had already told us earlier that the Doctors would be amazed. Around three hours later, I had a NEW HEART. The next day, I woke up feeling good. Two hours later, I got to have liquids and by that evening, solid food. The doctors were amazed at the results. Not a single Doctor could believe my color and recovery. Eight days later, I was HOME! Out of 677 heart transplants, they were AMAZED at this one. God knew what was best for me and He knows what's best for you.
